I went camping this last weekend. I loved it. I felt happy on multiple occasions. I was energized, and I got rest. I read short stories and coloured pages. I played in a river. I thoroughly enjoyed a mug of hot chocolate with pillowy marshmallows. I also felt a little sad. I reflected on some life stuff that is tough right now and had to shut down negative thought cycles. I woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. I got a TON of bruises from the rocks in the water. An...d I had a little indigestion from some brownies. Life is a mixed bag. There are transient emotions, highs and lows, fun stuff, uncomfortable stuff and everything in between. It's all happening right now, and I'm choosing to live through it. How was your weekend? Here's a strawberry for you! I found this adorable little gem just waiting for me to pick him outside. There's nothing quite like picking and eating fresh fruit. Intuitive Eating thought of the day:... Eat what you really love and enjoy. What did you love to eat when you were a kid? What kinds of food genuinely bring a smile or bit of happiness to your life? Think of all the different food groups, fresh and processed. Often it can be helpful to write a list and keep it handy to jot down foods you remember you like to eat. Best part? Eat them!
