Acupressure! (read the whole thing) During these times of lock down, I want to remind you all that as an essential healthcare worker, I am still open and accepting new patients at both clinics. With that in mind, I know that there are some of you that are hesitant to leave your home for obvious, pre-cautionary reasons. ... I want to offer you a free acupressure treatment, geared towards whatever you may be struggling with. We all deserve to heal!! I will supply you with a series of acupressure points that you will need to press a few times a day to help give you relief! All you need to do is send me a DM, and I will help you address your imbalances! #traditionalchinesemedicine #acupuncture #acupressure #heal #healthiswealth #tcm #holisitichealth #holistichealing #holisticliving #holistic #ayurveda #relax #blogger #wellness #wellnesswednesday

How to Prep for Acupuncture 1. Wear (or bring) loose fitting clothes; many acupuncture points are on the legs below the knees and the arms below the elbows. This means skinny jeans and tight, long sleeved shirts will likely interfere with treatment. 2. Answer interview questions honestly & completely; we ask these questions because they’re important! All information is confidential ... 3. Eat something; while we don't recommend having a full meal right before treatment, it's best to have a light meal or snack before receiving acupuncture treatment. Patients who come to treatment on an empty stomach may feel light headed or dizzy after treatment. To optimize healing, eat just enough that you're not hungry, but not so much that you're stuffed. 4. Don't brush your tongue before treatment; we use the tongue & the coating to assess what is going on internally. Also try your best not to have any staining foods before treatment. Ex: wine, candy, coffee. Say AHH 5. Don't worry about the needles! The needles are so small and thin (.25 mm) nothing like an injection needle (2.9 mm) 6. Get ready to relax. Turn your phone off, close your eyes and ENJOY! This is a great time to clear your mind, meditate, or take a nap. Most people go into a deep state of relaxation (what I call an Acu nap) this is a state where profound healing occurs. 7. Keep relaxing after treatment. While it's not strictly forbidden, if you want to get the most out of your sessions, plan to go to the gym or do any strenuous activity before rather than after your treatment session. Acupuncture activates a healing process that continues after you leave the office. Light activity is encouraged, just be aware of your energy levels and try not to overdo it. 8. Stay hydrated; Being hydrated is vital to the body's natural healing processes, and optimizes the effects of your acupuncture treatment. Warm water with lemon & a pinch of sea salt is a great way to hydrate & restore electrolyte balance. Drink your water!! #tcm #traditionalchinesemedicine #acupuncture #tips #healthiswealth #holistichealth #holistichealing #holisiticliving #ayurveda #heal #balance
