We are really please how this staging job turned out. The client had built a modern home but did not want a lot of chrome, metal and glass or color. We had to find lots of natural elements like the wood stumps for a coffee table the woven sisal area rug in the dining room. We also focused on the sculptural elements like the plant on the kitchen island, the arc lamp and stumps in the living room and the Eames chair and lamps in the loft/den. Let us know what you think!

Ms. Ellis's comments on the project.... I decided to sell my home of 27 years and had no idea where to start. The house was 50 years old with a more recent addition, and had lots of space but not a lot of cohesion. I had purchased two hours of consultation that Carol had donated for a fund-raising auction That initial two hours increased and Carol has guided me right up to staging the home. I believe that contacting Carol was the best investment I could have made to pre...pare my house. Carol is a calm, kind person with a lot of skill. Her experience with design and staging, her ability to listen well, work well within a budget, communicate, plan and implement in a timely fashion have made her a great person to work with. The process including designing two bathrooms, pulling the house from worn to contemporary, and supporting me as I dealt with the memories of a home I was leaving and the slog of the work being done. She did not offer names of trades workers and staging companies, but gave them when asked, with the clear expectation that I would be making any decision as to who I would want to hire. I really appreciated her professionalism in this and in all other areas. The people I chose to do the work were people Carol had suggested and I was extremely satisfied with all work done. Being able to formulate a vision within a less-than-perfect framework, keep the focus and produce a very attractive, contemporary result showed an excellent eye for design with a solid skill base. It is obvious to me that Carol loves her work . Her attention to detail and her care in choosing the many lovely elements shows in all aspects of my home. She has been a delight to work with and I look forward to her helping me when I buy my next home. Leslie Ellis
