MASCNE (Mask Acne) This is truly a thing and if you are experiencing it you are not alone! About a month and a half ago I had a client who of our clinic come in to meet with me after some correspondence through IG. She was completely discouraged by the acne she was experiencing due to multiple hours in a mask for her job. Her once clear skin had completely changed. She was very hesitant to move forward with something new because she had tried so many things, including ov...er the counter and physician prescribed treatments. When I saw her in person her face was raw (no pictures) from the doctor’s topical solution script of a combined antibiotic and benzoyl peroxide cream. She at this point not only had the acne she had previously sent pictures of, she also had skin that was sore, agitated and at risk for infection. I told her to stop everything and just cleanse with Cetaphil and use an over the counter antibiotic cream to help heal her skin for a week and then come back for a treatment plan.
