That lovely haze you are seeing outside this beautiful morning is mostly PM2.5. It is at 525 in the London area which is too high. This because the air is cold, quiet and all that pollution that is always above us is settling down close to the ground.

People breathe in 10,000 liters of air a day or about 2,500 gallons worth. We drink about 5 cups of water and eat maybe 2 lbs of food. Our stomachs remove and kill most of the pollutants that enter through food and drink because we have kick ass acids to do the job. But in that 10,000 liters of air are a LOT of air pollutants that your body does not and cannot stop. ALL the PM2.5 in the air goes into your lungs, blood and brain unfiltered. If you are a living person you are breathing in 1 billion of these particles every year but if you live in Toronto or any other larger city, you can triple that in Ontario.
