Full Disclosure: before beginning this Bookworm journey, I didn’t know what SNAP was. Now - I have multiple decks of SNAP cards. I wanted to make a post showcasing the many themes of SNAP I have in my catalogue. Jordan loves these - his favourite are the Cars and Trucks & Diggers - he sits and plays with my mom. Do they play by the rules? No. But do they play fairly with an understanding of the game? Also no. So what do they do they? They do a multitude of different thing...s. They match them - working on memory skills, they line them up (let’s be honest - toddlers love to put things in line) - Jordan is adding to his vocabulary. It’s not just car anymore. It’s car, it’s sports car, it’s electric car, it’s limousine. With a full comprehension of the differences. Exposing our children to new things, expanding their brains, vocabulary and understanding of what they see around them - that’s what’s important. It’s not always about playing by the rules - it’s about learning in a fun way that is most beneficial for the child!
