It was 2012, and I was completely and utterly WIPED OUT. I felt totally defeated. I knew I didn’t want to feel this way anymore. I decided things had to change. That’s when I made my No Plan B Commitment to myself. Daily exhaustion was not an option. Brain fog was not an option. Sleepless nights were not an option. I was all in. So I found a counsellor, a yoga teacher, and a naturopath to help me get things sorted out. And I stuck with it.... And after years of sleep deprivation and exhaustion, I finally turned things around so I was able to get the rest I needed each night so that I no longer felt completely drained all the time. This was my turning point. After this, I realized I HAD to help others do the same. So I took my Yoga Teacher Training, became a certified Wellness Coach, and began helping exhausted moms just like you. You may just be starting out, or maybe you’ve been in this cycle for a while. This! Really, really this! In the past 2 weeks I’ve had 2 important people in my world end up in the hospital No one could go in with them to be admitted. No one could go visit them. Thank goodness for technology to keep us connected! One is home again and hopefully the other will be soon too. A reminder that you never know what will happen day to day, so strive to let people know how much they mean to you every chance you get!

Grinning from antler-to-antler! This mom sleighed the day & am I ever glad I set up a schedule for my holiday chores Baking has begun (it’ll happen over several days), gifts are bought, wrapping starts tonight ... because I spent too many years wrapping til the wee hours Christmas Eve!!! If you possibly can, make a quick list of what needs to get done this week & space it out instead of trying to get it all done on one day ... And cut yourself some slack, maybe let go of some things that are nice but not necessary And be gentle with yourself... ** the Level Up Your Mom Life free fb group is a great community to connect with moms who are looking to improve their energy levels, get organized, and find that sense of community that helps us make the positive changes we’ve been striving for. Petting your cat or dog can lower your blood pressure, helps your body release a relaxation hormone, and cuts down on levels of a stress hormone. Remember that time when...? I sure do! One of my biggest #momfails happened when my kids were quite young, maybe 4 & 6 years old. It was just before Christmas. I wasn't allowed to spend much on Christmas (yes, I just said that... "not allowed" and it still makes me cringe when I think about it, but that's a story for another day!)
