Dear Friends, I am thrilled to be announcing and welcoming you to my new website at www.brendadineen.com. Feel free to scroll around, look at areas of focus, my blog and more. I believe my website reflects my strong purpose in helping and supporting people facing challenges in the second half of life, including aging issues, retirement and searching for new purpose and meaning as we age.... Now in my 70s, I have taken much of my work from my own personal journey, as well as over 30 years in private practice. I am enthusiastic about my purpose and so happy to share this with you. We all need to find our voice and to express ourselves. As we age, this can be a challenge for many people who may feel isolated or lacking a place to share their feelings and hopes. As you may know, I travelled to the Yukon this summer, and in September, had another amazing experience in Italy. My recent travels have energized me and given me deeper experiences in my life. Another thing that has inspired and energized me recently is developing my new website with Tyler Nouwens. I am grateful for his innovative ideas and creativity. It has been a pleasure and a new learning experience for me. I feel great satisfaction that I have a voice and a means to share my insights and inspiration with you. On this day in 1971 I spoke at a mass rally in Washington DC for women's right to choose. There were people from all over the U.S. there. I was sent to speak on behalf of the Canadian Women's Coalition to Repeal the Abortion Law. I was 23 years old. I remember it was a very cold day. There were many wonderful speakers and an enthusiastic crowd who chanted and sang. I remember this as one of many highlights of my youth. I was so fortunate to live during the years of the youth radicalization when so many amazing and inspiring mass events and demonstrations happened on a regular basis. The imprints of those memories are strong in my mind and heart.
