What a week of highs!!!! The opening week of the Whitney Biennial! The Master and Form by @brendanfernandes now on view at the Whitney Biennial. This live performance and series of sculptural pieces explore themes of mastery and discipline within the culture of Ballet. By foregrounding labour and physical exertion in both presence and absence, Fernandes attempts to queer the traditionally illusionistic and hierarchically idealized spaces of Ballet. coming soon . .... .
