Placemats I made for my niece for Christmas.

I buy fabric because I think it is pretty. It then sits in my stash until I am ready to make something with it. Today I picked up this package of 2.5 inch squares and I want you to help me decide which way to sew them together. Either similar to this table runner I made with another mini charm pack or a table topper that would end up about 17 inches square.
