I had heard many mixed reviews about Rome and not being that interested in history, I had decided that I wouldn’t spend any time there while I was in Italy. As I ventured around many towns and cities,I was couldn’t help but crave a big city where I could just walk around for hours and get lost in the streets. So that is exactly how I ended up here. The joys of being a solo traveller with no plan means that you can pick up and do whatever you want, whenever you want and fall i...n love with the most unexpected of places. Don’t be afraid to just follow your heart and do what you crave most. I promise you’ll be glad you did. Rome more, worry less!

Mountains are feeling The feeling of being in the mountains- words simply can’t describe it sufficiently. There is no place where I feel so free and connected with nature. ... The endless landscapes, the nature, the tranquility. When I stand up there, I am so happy and inspired, free of worry, able to breath deeply. The mountains are full of opportunity, challenges and adventures. They are majestic and pure miracles. You can hear and find yourself. Up there, you feel like things are forever On top of the world Inhale Exhale Be

I decided to release a weekly bucket list challenge to see where you’ve all been too or for you to save for your future travels to make sure you don’t miss the best spots. Last week I kicked off with Thailand (link in bio), but I want to know, which destinations would you like to see bucket lists for?!

My girl friends and I were reminiscing this morning on our girls trip to Cuba 5 years ago and realized it’s been way too long! We have endless ideas of where to go next , but what is your favorite girls trip destination?

Some people are empowered by travel and some are inspired by the warmth of home. Some thrive in the spotlight and some feel called to support those who are on the stage. Some people are comfortable half-dressed and cussing like sailors and others prefer modesty and gentleness.... The thing is: we are all empowered and inspired in different ways and it’s not our job to decide what that looks like for anyone else.

Growth often includes sadness and mourning because we are also letting go of the idea of a future we’ve created that is no longer going to come to fruition.... in the way we thought it was. This can be the source of great anxiety because we have a hard time accepting the loss of this dream. When we do that we take ourselves out of the current moment of our lives. We spend so much time sad about a future that will never be realized... that we fail to create one that would ...fill our hearts and souls with elation. We need to stop getting in the way of the life we’re meant to live. We need to embrace that we are all creators... more powerful than anyone ever told us. We need to see that whatever future we’ve had to let go of wasn’t for us... and then we accept the fact that we create the space and say yes to all the wonderful things and people which are meant to enter our lives.

Hi I’m Breanne, but you can call me Bre! I believe the best things I have achieved have come from living outside my comfort zone.... I can’t quote movies, I don’t know anything about celebrities ( seriously, I can’t tell you which Kardashian is which) and I can’t fake an accent to save my life. I don’t drink coffee, I go to bed by 10pm ( unless I’m travelling) and my friends say I am too easy-going. I love hard, give graciously and overthink everything. I’m terrified of fish and of the ocean, but I’ll be the first to hop on a surf board or jump in the sea just for the rush. The beach is my happy place and I’ll always say yes to an adventure in the sun. I started living out my dream as a travel consultant and solo travel expert in March 2020-just in time for the pandemic! As tough as it’s been, there has been so much good to come out of it and I can’t wait to share my future adventures and help you plan yours! Thanks for exploring the world with me.xx

If you’re looking for a way to see Cinque Terre without hauling your suitcase around, I recommend staying in La Spezia. Located right at the base of the Cinque Terre, this town is nestled on the harbour and a cute place to check out. Whether you’re going to hike or hop on the train to see the 5 scenic towns, this is the place you want to be!

With tomorrow being the last day of summer, Ive been reminiscing on the weird summer that weve had in 2020. Although at times it was hard to find the good in some situations and we struggled to find ways to entertain ourselves when everything was closed, for myself, I still managed to have one of the best summers yet. Usually I spend my summers travelling abroad and exploring new cultures, but this summer gave me the opportunity to travel within Canada and explore places an...d things I may not have otherwise done. Of course I was bitter at first and I absolutely do miss travelling, but I feel very blessed for the lessons this summer has taught me. This picture was just a few weeks ago when I went to Kelowna with some of my favorite people and had the most carefree, fun weekend. Its a reminder to me that although things seemed tough this year, theres always a way to make a positive out of a negative situation, that I am surrounded by the most wonderful people, and that life is absolutely what you make it. What did this summer teach you?

I need to move around a bit. To shuffle my surroundings. To wake up in cities I dont know my way around and have conversations in languages I cannot completely comprehend. There is always this tremendous longing in my heart to be lost, to be someplace else,... to be far far away from all of this. See more

Most times I go hiking, I enjoy taking a beverage (or two) along the way. Of course by the time I get ready to make my way down, I regret the carbonation, but this summer I discovered a tasty new non-carbonated summer drink, eliminating any regrets! Cottage Springs is the first Vodka WATER in Canada! Made with all natural flavours and only 100 calories and 0g of sugar, its light and refreshing for any occasion!

On this day.....19 years ago..... 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.... 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow; kiss the ones you love, snuggle those children a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

Bequeathed with more grapevines than any other Cinque Terre village, Manarola is famous for its sweet Sciacchetrà wine. It's also awash with priceless medieval relics, supporting claims that it is the oldest of the five. It has a population of 353 and is the second smallest of the Cinque Terre towns. This town was one of my favorites in Cinque Terre.... Have you visited Manarola?

Travelling messes you up, but in all the good ways. It leaves you always craving more, an addiction that can never quite be met. Every place, every trip, every person is a new adventure, pulling you deeper into the love of wanderlust. Your heart begins to hurt when youre standing still, and your mind begins to itch over the idea of new places you havent been. Fill your soul with adventure and travelling and you will live a fulfilled life

If you ask me what my favorite trip has been, without a doubt, Ill tell you Croatia. Not just because of the history, the crystal clear waters, the beautiful scenery, the awesome people I met, the parties or the countless other things I could go on about. Its my favorite because this moment, just a year ago, changed my life. It changed my way of thinking, the way I looked at life, the way I looked at myself. It made me realize all that I wanted, all that I needed and how fa...r Ive come. It was the start of a new journey for me, a new appreciation and a new love for myself. Croatia changed me forever. Is there somewhere you have travelled that has changed you?

You cant go to Pisa and not get a cliche picture! If Im being honest, Pisa wasnt on the list of places I wanted to visit in Italy, but I am so glad that I did! One of the best things about my time in Italy is that I went without a plan- no place to stay, no itinerary. Going with the flow allowed me to take a scenic train ride to Pisa with another solo traveller I met in Venice. As cool as the tower is (obviously), Pisa is also home to The Baptistery and the Cathedral of Sa...nta Maria Assunta and is a great stop on your way to Florence! Dont forget to leave a little Pisa your heart here next time youre in Italy!

Canadians can travel to Hawaii as of September 1st with no quarantine! Okay, settle down! Yes, this headline is everywhere and I have received countless messages over the thrill that we are actually allowed to visit somewhere without a quarantine. BUT, before you book your flight and jet off, you must know you still have to quarantine for two weeks once you return to Canada! This means your week long vacation will actually have to be 3 weeks!... I know Im still debating the possibility, but how do you feel about it? Are you still as excited over this?

This time last year I had just landed in Frankfurt,Germany for the start of a one month European adventure. I wasnt sure what to expect as it was my first time solo travelling for that amount of time. As I was wandering around the streets, I didnt feel like there was a whole lot that interested me in Frankfurt. I decided to join a local walking tour to see the city from a locals perspective. ... I quickly caught onto two girls speaking English and knew right away they were from Canada...Saskatchewan to be exact. Being from Alberta, I thought this was pretty cool and we hit it off right away. There was also another girl from Vancouver and the four of us bonded quickly over being Canadian We decided to go and try out some of the local food, explored the nightlife of Frankfurt and made sure to stop at Frittenwerk to get the German take on a Canadian poutine. After an adventurous day with some awesome women, I knew that was only the start of the best month of my life.

How do you feel about kayaking? When we were in Croatia, kayaking was one of the optional activities that of course we all wanted to try. We made our way out to a beautiful cave, but by the time we had to head back, my friend and I were falling quite behind. We looked over at the guide and said what would you do if we fell out of the kayak and started crying? We obviously thought she would say she would help us out and we were ready to jump ship, but instead she laughed and... told us to suck it up. We tried to bribe another guy passing us by as well to give us a tow but he wasnt having it. Eventually we made it back but dang that was some hard work! I have yet to try it again on a calmer surface, but living near some lakes, Im wondering if I should give it another go. Hopefully if I fall out and start crying, someone will save me this time!

Travel & tourism account for 1 in 10 jobs worldwide. I am that 1 out of 10. Many people surely think that my job working in the travel business is to travel for free (I wish!).... In reality, 90% of my job is spent sitting at my desk designing itineraries for couples, families and clients from around the world. I spend hours, weeks, sometimes even months working on single trips, making sure every detail is thought out and planned. And truly I LOVE doing so!! The travel industry has been dealing with the coronavirus since January an additional two full months before it really began impacting daily life here in the Canada. This has been the longest 7 months in my life!!! Fun fact: Travel Agents only get paid after their clients actually travel. Many agents have been refunding their hard-earned money back to their clients by the thousands. Theyve spent these last four months working tirelessly to negotiate refunds, postponements, and cancellations. And most havent had new trips booked now for months. But I do it without question because we have wonderful, personal relationships with our clients - something that credit card companies, Costco and online agencies do not - and KNOW travel will come back stronger than ever once this is all over!!! **So when you do decide to travel again - PLEASE use a travel advisor. It doesn't matter who, or what company - we're all on the same team. But please use a live person. Do not click a book button on a third party website ever again. This is my small business website, and I am here to assist. https://www.tannis.thetravelagentnextdoor.com/ #bresgotbaggage **Reposted from a friend in the industry**

Pompeii was an ancient city in the South of Italy that was buried under 4-6m of volcanic ash when volcano Vesuvius erupted in the year 79 A.D. With everything going on this year, I know a lot of people have taken advantage of their time at home. Whether that be exploring your own country, learning a new skill, moving out on your own, nailing that recipe, binge watching Greys Anatomy in record time or anything else that you feel proud of. Usually we are all so humble we forget to brag about our accomplishments.... but nows the time to celebrate!... Tell me something amazing about yourself!
