So this was a job I was on last week at my customers shop in Red Deer. Radiator and Hydraulic oil cooler repair. Radiator was repaired at local radiator repair shop. Oil cooler core was so bad it could not be repaired. $5000.00 to replace. Customer looking at other options. Installed a bypass hose for now.

So this will be a project. One of my Red Deer customers Cat M325D caught fire. They want it repaired. So every hydraulic hose and electrical harness from the cab back will have to be replaced. Already removed hydraulic tank. Can't access all the hoses. Will have to remove swing gearbox and main hyd control valve to access everything. I have gotten asked many times over the last 35 years what was my worst repair. This will be it! Will keep you all posted.

New customer hired me this week to travel to Drumheller and repair a engine oil leak. All went well. Want's me back soon for a swing gearbox problem.

Completed this job finally. Welders and machine shop finished repairing damaged stick. Also had to get both stick cylinders completely rebuilt, resealed rotary manifold, many hydraulic hoses and lines needed replacing. Finished today finally!! All ok.

Transmission swap on a Cat M325D. Job went well. New transmission worked great.
