Speaking of good windows in poor places, a window is not a skylight, don't put a window on the roof - you're asking for trouble.

Looks like a window right? Well, you'd be wrong, those are recycled sliding glass doors. They make up part of an exterior wall supporting a second floor bedroom. Why build a stud wall when you've got an old glass door? Please don't try this at home.

Hard to believe, but this old wooden ladder is being used as a substitute for ceiling joists in the garage!
