Spent a beautiful morning this weekend photographing this mother and daughter duo. Both have successfully graduated from the University of Manitoba department of Agriculture, albeit 20 or so years apart. :).

Another great shoot in Winnipeg's exchange district. The Wiebe family gave me a long leash even in the back alleys littered with broken glass.

"Don't be scared to walk alone, and don't be scared to like it." This quote was posted a few days ago by a wonderful human being who decided to find her own path to Fiddler's Green. ... Chelsey was so fun and full of life. She had the most eclectic taste in music and would always be dancing. She cared more than most. She was always one to lend a hand, help a friend, and lend her stuff. Cheley didn't have a lot of stuff either, which made her generosity that much more meaningful. She was a true artist. She was a skilled make-up artist. A beautiful model, and a budding talented photographer. She was a devoted parent and loved her son more than anything in the world. She was amazingly easy to connect with. She had her demons. Our shoot together was a result of someone telling her she looked like a man. That bothered her. We played it up, and inspired by a Bob Dylan photograph we decked her out in a button down men's shirt, a tie and a pair of Levi's 501's. You were a bright light Chelsey, and you will be missed.
