As breeders, what do we strive for. Is it the fame and glory of producing a BIS dog? Is it to produce a fabulous example of our breed? The answer is yes of course but the true answer is to fill the hearts of so many families, be it a single mother or father, or a family of 5. To see the joy in their faces when they come to get their new baby puppy. To follow their lives as they age. We dream of placing these puppies into the lives of special and caring people and that th...ey will live a full and nurturing life. Briargate Beagles lost another loved sole and her name was Lola. She would have been 16 this year but now she is running the fields (or hogging the couch) with her mamma Tallulah, her father Clues and all her siblings who passed before her. We remember the day Lola, who we had named Diva at birth and believe me, she lived the life of a Diva!!!! met her new family. Laura and Mark were her world, they were her people who loved her, cared for her and gave her a life filled with joy and contentment. They gave her a life full and amazing life of challenges and adventures and she filled their hearts to the brim with pride every day. We could not have asked for a better home for Lola and THIS is why we breed dogs. Mark and Laura's hearts are crushed and broken but her memory will be with them forever. Harry's and my hearts go out to them both.
