This year our charity of choice for the 3rd Annual Strongman Competition is Little Warriors! Little Warriors is a national, charitable organization focused in the awareness, prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. Based just outside Edmonton, Alberta, Little Warriors works to educate adults on how to prevent and respond to child abuse through knowledge and behaviour workshops. These free workshops are offered for free at limited locations across or online.... Little Warriors also works with child sexual abuse survivors. At their Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch they focus on specialized, intensive, trauma-informed, evidence based treatment for children and their families. We hope to raise as much money as possible this year to contribute to such a great cause. All proceeds from the three spectator competitions will be donated to Little Warriors. And Shaw Birdies for Kids will match our donation to Little Warriors! The three spectator competitions offered this year are a Free Throw competition, a Car Smash, and a Dead Hang Competition! Free Throw Competition will happen after the first event and will need a minimum of $10.00 donation per person. Car Smash will happen after the third event and will need a minimum donation of $5.00 per hammer swing and $10.00 per mace swing. Dead Hang Competition will happen after the fourth event and will need a minimum donation of $20.00 to compete. We are answering phones as early as 7:15am in the morning to take bookings. Wanna train?? Brickhouse Gym will officially be re-opening June 1st! In order to ensure the safety of our members and staffs while continuing to follow guidelines mandated by the government, we are displeased* to announce we will not be offering 24/7 services for the month of June. Social distancing and sanitation protocols are as follows: 1. Members must pre-book a time to use the gym by calling us in advance at your select location either today or day before. 2. Time sl...ots will be offered for an hour and 15 minutes 3. When you arrive for your time please check in with our front admin. We will provide you with your own spray bottle to use throughout the gym 4. It is mandatory for members to spray and wipe down the equipment before and after use. 5. Showers and Changerooms at this time are unfortunately closed. 6. It is mandatory for our staff to wear masks while at work. Please maintain 2 m away from them. 7. Our staff will be sanitizing the gym throughout the day and there is a 15 minute block between each time for them to do a deeper sanitation. During those 15 minute blocks the gyms are close to members and office hours. 8. Staff may wear shields and disposable gloves while sanitizing equipment. 9. We will be offering time slots from 7:15am till 10pm Monday-Friday. Weekend hours will be coming soon. 10. We will be taking registration online in the coming weeks to book your slots. 11.
