On our last volunteer shift of 2020, our volunteers finished repairing and winterizing a fleet of bikes for a local youth organization to use for their winter programming!

Every year, hundreds upon hundreds of bicycles are discarded at the City of Saskatoon - Your Local Government Landfill and in the warm months bikes can overflow beyond our shipping container and into the open. Today, we're happy to announce that our overflow area is down to zero! Thanks to our volunteers who work hard every week to divert bikes from the Landfill to be reused within the community!

Beyond delighted to support Belinda Daniels and the Boys to Men Warrior Club in Sturgeon Lake First Nation! This program is so inspiring. Hope the youth enjoy the bikes!

Thank you so much to our community for riding and fundraising to support our programming in our first Ride 10KM, Donate $10 fundraiser! 20 people rode 10km (or more) and 42 people donated to help us raise $1,270! The highest fundraisers are Crystal, Garret, and Stan! We are incredibly grateful and can't wait to do it again next year!

Our Bike Diversion team had a very productive week with 84 bikes diverted, 17 bikes with parts diverted, and only 3 bikes recycled! Thanks for the continuing partnership, City of Saskatoon - Your Local Government!

Week 4 update: Crystal still leads the way with a cool 30 $10 pledges raised, but newcomer to the scene, Dana, has edged Margot out and is tied with Rebecca at 4! Tonight, our volunteers were hard at work repairing bicycles, to be given to youth via partnerships with other Saskatoon nonprofit organizations/charities!
