REMINDER: the province-wide mask mandate is still in effect. Masks must be worn in all indoor public spaces, places of worship and indoor workplaces. We underst...and that many are feeling COVID fatigue, but we must remain diligent. This includes practicing good hygiene, staying 2 metres apart from others, monitoring your symptoms every day and staying at home if you're sick. To create a safe sleep environment for your baby, follow these tips: - Keep soft items such as baby nests or pods and nursing pillows out of your baby’s sleep... environment to avoid risk of suffocation. - Babies should only sleep on a flat surface. Inclined sleep is not safe even for babies who spit up a lot. Products like hammocks and crib wedges should not be used. Move babies who fall asleep in car seats, high chairs, swings, and bouncers to a crib, cradle or bassinet. - Take off your baby’s snowsuit, raincoat, jacket and other outerwear once indoors, especially if your child is sleeping, to reduce the risk of suffocation and overheating.
