Don’t forget to tune in at 2 p.m. on Thursday for a virtual goal-setting session for your children. Happy Canada Day from Canada Life! Though we can’t gather together in person this year, we couldn’t let our first Canada Day as one amalgamated company pass by without proper celebrations. Here are some virtual ways you can celebrate: http://ow.ly/fdPq50AmeCm #MyCanadaLife #CanadaDay2020

As communities across North America are struggling to comprehend the events of last week, as an organization, Canada Life is lending its voice to denounce racis...m in all its forms now and every moment in the future. There is not and will never be a place for racism to exist in our communities. Our organization is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in our workplace, culture, and the communities where we live and work but we know that so much more work needs to be done. We can begin by listening to those who have struggled against racist injustices and inequalities, and by denouncing the actions of those who seek to co-opt the struggle of many with acts of violence and criminality. As Canadians, it’s important to recognize we are not immune to similar injustices and inequalities. We must reflect not only on anti-black racism, but also anti-Indigenous racism and all forms of racism in our society. We can do better by continuing to learn from, and by celebrating, our differences.
