Chakradance is not about "dancing" as much as it is about hearing the vibrations (or the beats) in the music. Moving, or not moving, is optional. If you can't stand for long periods, then you sit or lie down. I have practiced Chakradance sitting, lying down, driving (obviously with my eyes open), and dancing. It's about feeling the vibrations. If you start off standing and need to sit or lie down, it is completely up to you. There is no right or wrong way. I'm not going to sa...y that it's not kind of intimidating at first. If you come in with no preconceived notion and allow the process to unfold. There is no religious connotation attached to Chakradance. Some people find it spiritual, based on their beliefs and/or religion (for them). For me, it's about self-reflection. Looking within and seeing where I am at, what's coming up for me to look at ... and sometimes things don't come up for me during a session, they come up a few days later. I don't see images like others in the class describe, I see colours and feelings come up for me. It doesn't mean that I am doing something wrong or that they are doing something wrong. It's about being in my body, thoughts, feelings, and connecting with my spirit (for me that's my being, not an external source). I have spirit (or soul if you want to call it that) and that's what makes me, me. For others, the "spirit" component is something or someone external. Anything else that women might find inspiring. My Live interview series, Chatting with Wisdom, is about featuring amazing women in a weekly interview series to inspire women. It can include a skill, a strategy, a tool, or a "hot topic..." like breastfeeding beyond the first year. Each Guest chooses her own topic and in a freestyle interview we discuss the topic. VOID MOON (VOC) December 10, 7:56 pm 8:58 pm EST VOID OF COURSE MOON During this time, we are transitioning between one Zodiac sign to the next, but isn't reflecting elements/making any major aspects with either sign .... this is the gap between those transitions. Sometimes it's very short spurts while other times it's looong. It can last minutes, hours and sometimes, even days. ... Moon Medicine is about self-reflection. Grandmother Moon reflects back what we need to look at, what we need to face, what we need to resolve. During a Void of Course Moon, it gives us the time to just sit with the energy. If you can avoid doing anything during this time, then just sit with it in the silence. Things to do during these times: connect with your spirituality; declutter your life (physical or emotional); stick with your routine; rest, make plans during this time; socialize; take a trip; review things that need editing in life or work; finish up something that you started.
