I love my team! Just one of the many reasons why @healthspaceco is a great clinic is our ability to help clients from a collaborative approach. Often when we struggle with one issue there are multiple factors to consider: psychological, biological, and social.... At the clinic, we get a chance to find solutions to consider all the factors, allowing for a greater chance of success in our clients. I'm so grateful to work with the people I do! They're a group of smart, kind, and hard working individuals. Our clients are always in the best hands. #healthspacecollective #psychotherapy #naturopaths #chiropractor #rmt #massage #therapy #health #wellbeing #wellness See more

How ready for change are you? Step 1 - Pre-Contemplation You don't think there's anything you need to change and therefore you have no intention of changing. ... Step 2 - Contemplation You are acknowledging, that you may, potentially have a problem... You are not quite ready to take action at this stage. Vague plans are often made. Step 3 - Preparation You are likely to take action for change within the month. Intentions are set, considerations are had, and a firm plan is made. Step 4 - Action You have made the leap and are taking action to modify behaviour. This stage tends to be the one that requires the most energy and commitment. Step 5 - Maintenance You use what you've gained from the action stage and do whatever is necessary to prevent relapse. This requires mindfulness and alertness of self. In the context of therapy, there is another stage - termination. This is the goal, you have achieved the change you sought and are ready to take the next steps in your life! Although, it is important to note that even with termination there is a window that remains open for contact with your therapist. It is perfectly normal to return occassionally, especially if this means some routine maintenance work. Hallowe'en hits and all of a sudden it seems Fall is over and Winter is here! Already it's getting dark much earlier and we're bracing for colder temps... Along comes SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. Have you heard about it? ... SAD is a type of depression that occurs during the winter, with noticeable mood changes. As a subtype of depression, symptoms include losing interest in activities you once enjoyed, changes in appetite and weight, low energy, troubles sleeping, and many more. Scientests don't know a whole lot about the causes of SAD, it could be a deficiency in vitamin D (from less sun), or differentiating serotonin levels. Regardless, it's common and by no means something that is of fault by our choices! This means that we need to be warm, compassionate, and patient with ourselves when we're feeling a little extra blue. Have any questions, concerns, or need advice about seasonal depression? Feel free to DM me about it :) Follow @chroniccope_ for more psychotherapy thoughts, notes, & quotes #SAD #seasonalaffectivedisorder #selfcare #anxiety #depression #comfort #therapy #authenticity #self #selfjourney #genuine #healing #pathtowellness #mindfulness #chroniccope #psychotherapy #learning #awareness #mentalhealth See more
