The great team that helped make the sheppards pies. Special thanks to Bill, Karen R, Karen & Duncan, Sue, Jim & Deb, Rose and Linda ( hope I didnt forget someone). A two day effort. Thanks for supporting your Legion.

Thank You to all who ordered Sheppard's Pie. The committee will be making them Thursday and Friday. $8.00 each Pick up will be Friday afternoon, 3 pm to 7 pm., Saturday 10 am to noon and Saturday afternoon 2 pm- 4 p.m. If you cant pick up those days the pies will be frozen for a later time.

Please find in the attachments all the information pertaining to this unique Remembrance Day celebration, our Poppy Chair - Bill Barber and his volunteer's have put a tremendous amount of personal effort into this day and deserve our support and thanks. I believe we will look back at his year and have a positive perspective that we met the challenge in a safe and healthy way. Thank you for your support to the branch and our community. Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving weekend!

The branch will have a mini celebration of Halloween this year with a served dinner on Sat. Oct 31st. Two dinner seating's of max. 50 guests, 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Terry Denyes will play dinner music. Tickets will be on sale in the Branch starting tomorrow, $10.00. Covid protocols in place.

Thank you to the Town of Brighton and Preston for the delivery and use of the barriers used to cordon off our parking lot for the BBQ.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Legion BBQ. It was a beautiful afternoon! Special thanks to the many volunteers who assisted.also, I forgot to mention the fabulous entertainer Terry Denyes for his great music over the luncheon.

Attention all students grades 1 to 12! It time for the annual Remembrance Day competition for students to participate in poetry, essays and posters. Call the branch (613) 475-1044 or go to the office 9:30 to 1:30 daily to pick up a package to enter in the contest. The Legion usually goes out to all the schools but not all students are in classes.

Members, check out this information, it may be of benefit to you.

Notice to members who are to receive their 5 year pins. Linda has created the board so please drop by the Legion this weekend, to pick up your pin. 45 names are on the board.

Some of the Ladies Auxiliary are in the Legion's kitchen today, making and baking the apple crisps that have been ordered.
