Happy world mental health day! These numbers still astound me - our kids continue to wait on long public waitlist so that they can access evidenced-based mental health support and counseling. If you have concerns about your child, the earlier the intervention the more positive and long lasting the outcome, making the stats even more grim knowing how important early intervention is. We need to end the stigma surrounding mental health, and start conversations about positive mental health with our kids from an early age. There is no shame, only bravery for reaching out for help.
