Friends, I am thrilled to share the news that as of this week, I've now had cataract surgery on both my eyes. The improvement in my vision is staggering; the world is bright, crisp, and sharp. The brilliant colours of fall are incredible! This journey gives me an even greater appreciation for the beautiful world we live in. ... Although they can't give me a new prescription for my glasses until my eyes heal in 4-5 weeks, I've been busy getting my studio ready. I can't wait! Thank you for your continued support. Thank you for visiting my page. You may have noticed I haven't posted updates for quite a while; for the past 8 months I have had significant vision problems. It has been an incredibly scary time for me. I have had to put painting on hold while I wait to see specialists and a surgeon. My eyes are as much my tool as my paint and brushes. Fortunately, I am happy to report that today I met with a surgeon and I've been scheduled for surgery within the next 6 months.... I've been stockpiling all my dreams and creative inspiration -- and can't wait to pick up a brush again. Thank you for your continued support. Lori Motokado
