Sometimes the simplest idea needs to come from outside ourselves. We can too easily get caught up in the same routine, the same thinking, the way we have always done things. I had the most serendipitous by chance/not by chance meet up with a friend at the grocery store yesterday. (I even told this friend that I prayed that morning for an answer to a question I had to have an answer to by the end of the day!!)... I have missed the meaningful chatter between friends even though I have been content (for the most part) at home. It was so refreshing and uplifting to hear wise and timely words from my friend. So needed, so soothing. She gave some much needed help and advice and I thought out loud, "what a great idea, so simple yet so good! I never thought of that!" We need each other, we need help no matter what stage of the journey we are in and we can't do this life thing on our own. Hugs to you friend @heatherlangdale

Am I relevant? I think we all ask this question whether we feel it, think it concretely or it comes to us in another form. Does what I do matter? Is it important?... Am I important? It comes down to value and worth. I struggle with bringing relevant content to you because I have a two fold business and purpose. Because I am a coach and an artist, I struggle with what to share and try to not confuse. Do I share my patterns? Are people sick of hearing about my coaching? How do I stay engaged and true to me? Is it okay to be silent for a while? When I feel conflicted, instead of bringing something forward, I bring nothing forward. I would rather be real instead of just pumping out content for the sake of having something "out there". And when I ask these questions of myself, I intrinsically know the answer but I am also asking you to think what your answer is as well. I definitely have drawn inward this month and sometimes the only truth I know for sure is the love of God. I know He sees me, hears me and walks with me. That is my daily comfort. Aren't we all searching for that Secret Recipe that gets us from point A to point B so much faster? Well, I am not sure about you but I am going a little crazy with all of the "get rich quick with your business" ads on IG and FB. And true story, I have bought into a few courses (after I listened to them for a while and found them to be trust worthy) but not one has been the magic pill or secret sauce for me.... I often think, mmmmh what am I missing? If I am honest with myself I certainly have changed my focus a few times and confused my audience I am sure. I also have struggled with having to "solve my readers' problem" - that is extremely hard especially as an artist you just want to create. So, this is to encourage you. I see you struggling to make it work, to make it happen to make it all seem worth it. I do, I hear you and I see you. I am one of you. It's Friday and I'm struggling to get going. I really NEED to complete my surface pattern collection portfolio. But it is so much easier to sew. But once I finish, I get to present my work to future "employers" who I will be able to have a contract with - for me to make patterns for them!... Sounds fabulous right? I am a bit hesitant as the work right now is very tedious and time consuming. And scary to think of rejection...and success. But I am very proud of it.
