Busy day today. We are delivering "urgent" care only, dealing with problems by phone as much as possible. But sometimes the case needs an urgent in person visit. This week I've seen 6 in person, two referred by their family doc who did an initial phone triage and sent them over. Dealt with 10 more by phone. Doing my best to keep these cases out of the ER room and without calling the eye surgeon on call -- they are overwhelmed too. I have discovered that I rely more than I realized on touch when working my instruments and am learning how to do my job wearing gloves fulltime. Likely got another 2-3 months of this. Stay safe, stay at home
