Today, we pay tribute to the legendary Charley Pride... A pioneer for African-American musicians in country music and the first to become a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame; Charley graced the British stage in the mid 70s for an impromptu set after playing the NAC in Ottawa. Joe, Terry Carisse of Tenderfoot and myself were so pleased with the performance from both Charley Pride and Ronnie Prophet. After the bar closed at 2 am we all gathered until 5 am to celebrate... new friendship and toast to each others success in the music industry. What an unbelievable night, or should I say, morning party. Before they left, Joe gave them each a shot of his favourite Remy Martin and Charley left the bar with his arm around Joe. Malheureusement, nous naccepterons pas les reservations pour cette premiere semaine, car il y aura beaucoup dajustements a faire afin de sadapter aux nouvelles normes, mais nous aurons bientot un nouveau systeme en place!
