It’s hard to believe that 2021 will mark my 10th year in the the makeup industry. Hundreds of bridal parties, thousands of makeup applications and more memories than I can count. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.... And so it is with a heavy but very fulfilled heart that I announce I will be hanging up my brush belt at the end of the 2021 bridal season. As my family has grown and my passions have shifted I am ready to take my makeup artistry skills in a different direction. And while I won’t be focusing on client applications anymore, this is not the end of @brittdarlingmua. The 2021 bridal season is fully booked. And if you are one of those brides, no need to worry. I am still here, I am still actively working as a makeup artist for another year. If you were hoping to book me for your upcoming wedding, I am sorry I won’t be there for you but please reach out and I would be happy to refer you to one of the other amazing artists I know. To clients and upcoming brides, Re: COVID-19 I understand these are uncertain and unfair times and I’m so sorry they have affected you directly. I can’t imagine the disappointment you must be feeling knowing you have worked tirelessly to plan your special day only to be faced with the reality that you may have to cancel or reschedule. ... At this time I am asking all brides with early summer weddings to take things day by day as the information is changing quite rapidly and we are still faced with a lot of unknowns. That being said, and as uncomfortable as these conversations have the potential to be, all deposits remain non-refundable. As wedding vendors we put these policies in place to protect our livelihood. It is not feasible for us in a time where we are losing business and income to return non-refundable deposits as well. I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for but I do sincerely hope you understand. In the event your wedding needs to be cancelled I am more than happy to rebook your wedding at a future date and transfer the deposit so long as my schedule permits. I will do everything I can to work with you and try and find a date where I am available however it is important to note that I am fully booked for Saturday weddings June through to the end of October 2020. Viable rebooking options for this summer are Friday’s and Sunday’s or we can explore late fall dates beginning in November. I truly hope things turn around quickly and your wedding will go on as planned however if they don’t please send me a message as soon as you have made your decision so we can adjust your booking. Attention clients: Amid the recent events surrounding COVID-19 I have made the decision to cancel all makeup applications until at least April 6 but possibly longer. While I understand this may inconvenience some it is my civic duty to prevent spread where I can and this is one of the ways. The safety of myself, my family, clients and the vulnerable public is my top concern. ... If you have an appointment booked with me between now and April 6 I will be in touch to cancel/reschedule.
