To all our new and returning parents and guardians, a belated welcome to a new school year. It has been a challenging start for everyone -- whether you chose to keep your children at home or send them to school, we hope that you and your family are adjusting and managing during this extremely difficult time. Plans for this year's school council were delayed as we waited for direction from the TDSB on how to proceed. Obviously it is not business as usual this year. Council me...etings will be held virtually, with our first one set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. A new council executive will be elected along with voting members. All parents and caregivers, including those taking virtual classes, are invited to participate. This is an especially great opportunity to stay connected to your home school for our online families. Hi everyone! We hope you had a good summer, in spite of the many challenges during these historic times and the stress of figuring out what the new school year will be like. We wish everyone a healthy and safe return to school this week and all the best to those starting online classes next week. In terms of what the School Advisory Council will be like this year, we are awaiting information and direction from the Board on how to hold its meetings, run virtual elections and run SAC business this year. When SAC has those details, we will reach out with a date for our first meeting of the year and provide nomination and election information. Stay tuned!
