Do you live in Canada, are 18 years of age or older, and engage in outdoor recreation activities? Then we’d like to hear from you! Researchers from the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at Brock University are recruiting participants for a study that involves research. What’s Involved: Complete an anonymous, confidential online survey that takes approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. The survey is only available from May 7 to May 15th, 2020. Potential benefits include: having the chance to reflect on your outdoor recreation practices during COVID-19. learning about outdoor recreation opportunities and range of activities available in Canada. Thinking about how outdoor recreation impacts your physical, emotional & overall health. helping inform our understanding of outdoor recreationists’ feelings about the opening (or not opening) of public outdoor recreation areas. providing land managers and service providers with information about the impacts of outdoor recreation area closures. Potential risks include: experiencing some emotional stress when considering the lack of access to outdoor recreation areas due to COVID-19 stay-at-home, social distancing strategies.
