For everyone's information: Pet Value is having supply problems with the poop bags that they so kindly donate to the park. I will try to rustle some up to tide us over, but we are asking everyone to bring their own until the supply is resumed. Thank you!!

We have got the go-ahead to return the benches and tables for use at the park. I ask that we all still observe our distancing and respect the other humans at the park. Sue and I will work on them this evening. Thank all who cooperated with the restrictions and who continue to do their part.... Rod Holmstrom

Hello all, We have a big pile of wood chips donated by Ontario Hydro on the outside of the fence. We could really use some help moving them to various parts of... the park. If you are able to give a bit of your time tomorrow, Saturday morning, please join us at 0930 with a shovel and some muscles. Many hands make light work!! Thanks, Rod Holmstrom See more

Can we all please leave the tables stacked up where they are, and not take them down for use... I find it VERY irritating to have to continually re-stack them to ensure that the park is complying with the guidelines set out by the city. I would hate to lose the use of the park again because someone can't follow rules... Thank you.

Dear Friends of the Brockville Off-Leash Dog Park, We are all excited to have the park open to our dogs again! Remember, though, now is not a "return to how it was". We remain in a state of emergency and things are not anywhere near "normal" yet. The dog park has always been a place of happy socialization for everyone, human and canine alike. The park is open for the use of dogs and their owners abiding by the guidelines set out by the City of Brockville. At this time, only ...TEN humans are allowed in the park at a time. Therefore, anyone without a dog is depriving another dog of an opportunity to use the park. There are plenty of places for humans to socialize, but only one dog park. Be considerate!!! Abuse of the regulations set out by the city will only result in the loss of use of the park for those that need it most - our DOGS... I know we will all get together and make this work... Thanks, Rod Holmstrom

In response to the many enquiries, I am advising all the members of guidance received from the City of Brockville regarding the re-opening of the Park. The City has advised the Board that it considers the Park a City park and therefore will not allow re-opening until June 30, 2020. Any enquiries should not be directed to the Park Board, but rather to the City of Brockville, and to Steve Clark, our MPP. Should we be in receipt of any changes in direction, we shall advise.... Thank you Rod Holmstrom

We have received no further direction from the City of Brockville regarding any reopening of the Dog Park. My understanding is this action is also subject to Pr...ovincial guidelines as well. We will advise as soon as we are... Towards the eventual reopening, I would like to let you know that I have seeded the grass in the upper level of the park this week, so it should be started by the time we make it back. I will be removing the snow fence in the lower level later this week, and cutting the grass down there. Hope the weather warms up soon, and we can get back to enjoying our park. In the meantime, stay well everyone!!!! Rod
