Broken but healing with Shawna Hinds 24.12.2020

What IS trauma? It’s so very misunderstood. Here’s the definition. . We now live in two different worlds... . The first world is the world of the disorder bas...ed on symptom clusters alone, without epigenetics, gut health, developmental/attachment history, purpose in life assessment, microbiome analysis, toxin analysis and current environment taken into context. . The disorder model overly pathologies people so they can bill for insurance. Rarely is there a focus on the strengths individuals have, and there is a prioritization of credentials above dyadic safety between the practitioner and client. . People who live in the disorder world aren’t bad, they are just not aware of the other world. . The other world is the world of root causes. Every disorder has a root cause. And yup, its trauma. . The DSM is a book about the many ways a human being can be dysregulated. And that’s it. . It’s an impt data set, but we need a more expansive view about what trauma is. . The root cause world addresses both the history, physiology and biochemistry to address the root cause. Medication may be needed, but a larger holistic plan is required to establish new pathways of trauma healing. . The root cause world cares less about degrees and certs and more about efficacy with a prioritization of dyadic safety during treatment. . The root cause world knows that safety IS the treatment. . If you are oriented in the disorder world, know that you are attached to a paradigm that won’t be relevant soon. . Learn about neuroscience, the efficacy and the latest evidence for how to go beyond disorder to root cause. . Let’s respect what works, not how many letters we have after a name. . Lets focus on safety and efficacy, rather than stand in the worship of credentials above results. . Join us in the root cause movement, where we get results bc are up to date on the latest research and education and we regulate our nervous systems and use evidence-based approaches to heal trauma faster, and at a root cause level. .
