The picture on the left is a nail that properly had soft gel + colour removed...gentle buffing, hydrating nail remover process and ta-da...no peeling or thin nail...a perfectly healthy nail bed... . The picture on the right...the gel was picked off....visible signs of damage to the nail...with peeling + thin nails as a result . The lesson here...anytime you have a product cured to your nail (with a lamp)...you cannot pick it off. At all. Ever. Layers of your nail will go with it....leaving your nails damaged. If you encounter a chipped nail with gel on....use a nail file to buff it down and then see your aesthetician/nail tech to get it fixed!
