j u s t r e l a x Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax. Re-read that again. ... Too often we find ourselves overwhelmed and we aren’t quite sure where to begin running off of caffeine and little sleep. Our bodies and minds can very easily run on an empty tank, and very often it is just overlooked. You would never expect your car to run without gas, so why do you expect the same from yourself? It is so important to take the time to relax and re-fuel your body. What are you going to do this week to give yourself a well earned break? Let me know below #massagetherapy #taketimeforyou #relax #wellness #brantford #rmt #massage #relaxation #tension #visualize #brookelouwersermt #registeredmassagetherapist

* w i l l p o w e r w e d n e s d a y * Willpower is a muscle that can be strengthened To strengthen a muscle you need to ... exercise When you overwork, muscles get tired and will need time to recover Whether it is working through boring tasks, or building good habits, willpower is something that fits into our daily lives more than we think. Willpower isn’t about dos or dont’s. Willpower is about listening to your gut and being compassionate with yourself to push yourself to reach those goals and strive to put your best foot forward. Willpower is easy when you’re having fun and doing something that you like, but it is when you are faced with a challenging task where it becomes tricky. Here are some simple tasks or thoughts that you can add throughout your day to help boost your willpower. 1. Create a manageable daily to-do list. This will help you focus on things that are most important. 2. Push yourself to be the best version of you. As cheesy as this sounds, there is some truth in this. If you are not challenging yourself, you are not necessarily growing and can find yourself just stuck in your own comfortable plateau. 3. Encourage yourself to make a plan, and stick to your plan. Push yourself to stand strong when something doesn’t go to your plan. Adapt. 4. Develop your own reward system. Whether it is something as little as treating yourself to your favourite Starbucks latte, or maybe taking the time to go outside for a walk, it is important to reward yourself when accomplishing a task. Ultimately remember to have patience with yourself and give yourself time. Everyones journey is different, and it doesn’t matter who’s where, or what’s going on around you. Just stay strong in yourself and always push. You got this -Brooke Louwerse, RMT #willpower #strength #rmt #massage #massagetherapy #brantford #work #wellness
