Greetings! I just want to touch base regarding mental health in the community. With so many rapid changes and adjustments, the mental health community is trying to keep up. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and will try to post info regarding services. As of right now, pretty much all private therapists (Psychologists too) have moved to virtual or phone sessions using privacy secured platforms. You can look through CounsellingBC or PsychologyToday to view Counsellor profi...les and access contact info. Locally, the therapists at Boyd & Associates are working virtually and sessions can be booked by calling 604-931-7211. Our reception team will be checking phone messages daily and will call you back. Personally I opened online booking through the Lougheed Wellness Center Now for resources. This has been tricky with everybody needing get re-organized over the past few days. I imagine many self-help articles to be released this coming week. I will be shifting through and will try to put together a resource list. Currently the Mental Health Boot Camp is putting out one strategy per day you can work on to try and stay grounded.
