mama cows after weaning after spending the summer out on range @bear_creek_park the cows come back with their calves. many of the steers grew to nearly 50% of their mom’s weight. they are old enough and big enough to wean, so we spend a day sorting them. our cattle handling strategy is to work to minimize stress on the cows and calves. this is a win-win for cattle and weight gain. #cattlehandling #cowhorses #weaning #localbeef #kelowna #armstrongbc #vernonbc
