THE BLENDER IS BACK - SATURDAY OCT. 19 The Victoria Curling Club's fun for all, Blender event is back for another night on October 19...featuring a Driftwood Brewing "tap takeover", 4 ends of curling, and... KARAOKE!... That's right - $10 admission will get you 4 ends of curling, a delicious Driftwood Beer, and the opportunity to sing your heart out in our newly renovated lounge. What is a Blender? It's a fun opportunity to get out and throw some rocks at houses with a "blend" of curlers of all skill levels, and in many cases - no skill level at all! It's a very friendly introduction to curling for those who have never tried it - while scores are kept, no one really cares. This is a chance to get out and socialize with your fellow curlers in a low pressure, everyone welcome event. This time around - it's Karaoke Night at the VCC! Even if you're not curling - come down, flex your vocal chops, earn the admiration of your peers, and enjoy a beverage! Space is limited to 48 curlers on the first draw at 7pm; 64 on the second draw at 9pm. Sign in starts at 6pm, and there will be a new curler orientation 15 minutes before the start of each draw. Equipment is available for those needing it! RSVP to the Victoria Curling Club office: (250) 386-6396. Drop ins welcome based on availability.
