Let's get to know each other! Next up, Véronique Cayer Larocque, one of Broomball Canada's Community and Sport Development Coordinator! How many years have you been playing broomball, or volunteering/working for Broomball Canada?... I have been playing broomball since the age of 10 years old, so about 17 years, and I have been working for Broomball Canada as one of the Community and Sport Development Coordinator for almost a year now! Your best memory: My best memory of Broomball is winning with my Vipers team the 2019 Senior National Championships in Cornwall, Ontario as the Host team. Not only were we the underdogs, but we overcame a two-goal deficit to win it in overtime! Where do you see broomball in 10 years? I'm hoping that the sport of broomball will continue to grow so that future generations will be able to enjoy this wonderful sport. Also, I would love to see broomball integrated into school curriculums and who knows, be included in the Canada Games! See more

How many years have you been playing broomball? ... 53 years. Started in 1967. Best memory? Coaching McMillans Ladies Elite to their first National Championship in Calgary 2001 and again in 2003 in Cornerbrook. 6 Ontario Championships. Where do you see broomball in 10 years? Broomball in 10 years is a very interesting question and one that cannot be answered with any confidence until our present pandemic situation corrects itself, whenever that may be. Continuing with some rec broomball and hopefully this will keep our players appetite wetted enough that we will be strong enough to return in numbers whenever the time comes. See more
