Schoolyards are crowded at pick up and drop off times. To help ensure safety when physical distancing isn’t possible, parents/guardians are required to wear masks/face coverings outside on school property during pick up and drop off. Learn more here https://bit.ly/2ZeQJtm

This year’s school supply list What else would you add to the list?
Back to school for our elementary students will look different this year. That's why we have created a daily checklist with our new health and safety measures to help keep students and staff safe from the spread of COVID-19. https://bit.ly/32Uz0Z9

Dear Brown Community. The latest TDSB’s update should be in your email inbox or you can click the link below to read it in full. Here are some of the headlines: 1. Start date of Sep. 15 for students, with staggered starts over the following 3 days.... 2. Masks / Face covering compulsory for all staff and students, including Kindergarten. 3. In-school class sizes are capped and remote learning will be through a single Virtual School, not based at Brown Hunior Public School . You will receive a new registration email on Wednesday, Aug 26 at the earliest. This supersedes your response to the earlier phone survey, so please answer again before the deadline of Saturday, Aug. 29. https://msg.schoolmessenger.ca/m/getdocument.php
Dear Parents, March break is almost over! If you're sending your kids back to school, here's an old back-pack safety tip that's been updated for the times.... -- If you're personalizing your child's face mask use a symbol instead of your child's name! This helps prevent others from using the name on your child's mask to create a connection and lure the child away from safety. #MaskSafety #CrimePrevention -- MT Dan Ramos @BeardandProtect via Twitter. https://twitter.com/TorontoPolice/status/1295376747417030657 ^vk

Joint Ward Forum - Monday 6:30-8:30 From Trustee Shelley Laskin: Please know I am joining Trustee Rachel Chernos Lin for a joint virtual meeting. We will also be joined by Executive Superintendent Jim Spyropoulos. Registration is required. When registering, you will be able to submit your questions in advance. We will attempt to answer as many as possible on Monday. But realistically, with over 750 registered to date, and 200 people submitting questions we will not get to all in the meeting - however, we will note them and follow-up with answers as soon as we can and you can continue to e-mail us directly. And you can "Join in the Conversation" on August 13 in the board run session on re-opening (information earlier in the update). Please register using the link here: https://forms.gle/fWvcJ4SaNSuvDnyUA
Returning to School: A Guide to the Safe Reopening of the TDSB: We found this on the TDSB site. Still lots more questions but it is a good read - really helpful. Let us know what you think! https://pub-tdsb.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ashx
