To our valued guests, We have learned that one of our staff has tested positive for Covid-19 at Newport Village Browns Socialhouse. At this time, we are working closely with the Fraser Health Authority and Public Health Office to ensure the safety of our guests, staff, and general public. For everyone’s safety we are communicating directly with any staff members or guests who came in to contact with the impacted staff member. We closed yesterday so that we could focus on cont...act tracing, sanitation, and the safe re-opening of our restaurant. We have been given approval from Fraser Health to reopen and are planning to do so at 4pm today. As a regular practice, all of our team members wear masks, complete temperature checks and submit health questionnaires before each shift. We have a robust systematic hourly disinfecting routine for all common areas as well as end of night cleaning routines. We also take our guests names and contact information including where you were located so that we can properly communicate to each guest should the need arise as it has here. In short, we have embraced and practiced the most stringent safety protocols, including industry leading physical distancing through table placement or plexi-glass barriers, as we work to maintain safe spaces for you to enjoy dining in. All of our staff who came in close contact with the affected staff member will undergo testing or will self-isolate for two weeks for the safety of our staff, guests, and themselves.
