the versatility of granola. just 10 mins to put together (& then bake) & you have a breakfast cum snack that’s nutritious & tasty feel free to add fresh or dry fruit, dairy or non dairy (milk, yoghurt) or even chocolate ;)

perfect for the summer - strawberry ice cream. although we personally prefer using cream , we’ve used a recipe that can be adapted to a vegan option (sub the milk). also blending some of the strawberries with the base before freezing will give you a more ‘strawberry pink’ look.

Kirsten is still on a ‘mad scientist’ trip & experimenting in the kitchen. it’s often scary to do different / play around with a recipe if you are an inexperienced cook but the more you try the more confident you become & the easier it gets. this chocolate banana bread pudding with a caramel pecan topping was definitely worth the risk. do let us know what you substituted / added when you try it out. shout out to Aunty Cookie Dorothy D'Souza for influencing us to be more adventurous in the kitchen <3

while entertaining at home, we often used smoked mussels / oysters in our starters but they usually topped crackers. that Kirsten Jade Mendonca has turned it into a dip - less fuss / stress when hosting sub with other varieties of fish / smoked meats and use veg crudites for a healthier option :)
