The March 25th Brow of the Hill RA meeting has been cancelled. We'll let you know when we've rescheduled for April or May. Thanks. Ken
Heads up: the City of New Westminster will be having its first subsidized tree sale on March 14th. It would be great to see a number of new trees planted around Brow of the Hill and Uptown. Reserve your trees online now! If you are renting consider mentioning this to the property owner. It's important that all areas see benefits of initiatives like this one. It's our understanding that additional street trees will be planted in our neighbourhood this spring.
Big news: BROW OF THE HILL IS GETTING A NEW PARK! We did it! Thank you to everyone who signed the Cornwall Street Park petition. Thank you also to Mayor Cote, council, and to city staff for finding a way to make this happen. There is no doubt that this space at 1009 Cornwall Street will become a treasured public asset. Stay tuned for more information. The city will be running a community consultation to define a plan for the park (what would you like to see?). There may also be opportunities to volunteer and get involved.
Reminder: The St. Barnabas parklet garden planting is TONIGHT at 6:30pm. Bring a neighbour and come hang out. There's a big sandbox for younger kids. Everyone welcome! https://www.facebook.com/events/476704483094665/
