Bruce's Custom Carpentry

Normally we post what we do, but I decided to change it up and showcase the talent! Bruce is a hardworking perfectionist who continually proves that doing the job right the first time is always worth the extra effort! This was the only time I could get him to stop during the workday... but we’re glad to be back to work in a safe environment!

We haven’t been able to work this past month, but we have been keeping active and doing projects that we don’t normally take time to do. What activities have you re-acquainted yourself with during this lockdown?

We were able to finish this small job just before we were shut down again... I wish I’d remembered a before picture, because the change was surprising! The main fixtures were still in good shape, but just required a little freshen! Customer had new flooring and painting done, then we added baseboard to match existing window/door trim. We installed a new toilet, and put in a new vanity top, sink & faucet to complete this new & improved look!

People often ask What do you do? Well... we do bathrooms, rec rooms, laundry rooms, fences, decks, windows, doors, screened porches... Apparently it’s easiest to show a sample... if you’re interested, please call (Bruce is old fashioned and would love to talk to you!) 519-443-6313

People often ask if we find treasures when we work... this little guy was buried in the yard and looked like a rock! His face is sun bleached, and his body is growing roots!

Had a visitor during lunch break today! The uniqueness of working outdoors

We may not be allowed in other people’s homes, but we were finally able to finish our own bathroom renovation! We kept the same footprint, but changed out the tub for a larger shower unit with a bench. We added simple trim & accents, installed a new mirrored medicine cabinet and a dark brown vanity to give more dimension.

As many have heard, Ontario has implemented more closures due to Covid-19. We are no longer deemed an essential service, and therefore will no longer be able to work towards your home renovations at this time. We plan to resume as soon as the Province allows us to be in your homes; for your safety and for ours. We hope you are all staying safe and staying home whenever possible. This laundry/bathroom renovation was a collaborative and turned out so well! Loved working with this customer who knew what she wanted and combined her ideas and ours to make a great useable space!

These little 1/2 walls turned out beautifully... especially when decorated for Christmas!

Can’t believe it’s only been 4 years since we started using this great product from H & M Manufacturing! Love that it’s easy to clean and a classy look... and most important that it’s made in Paris, Ontario!
