I was out early this morning with my camera looking for some ducks in flight. I set the camera to shutter priority at 1000 and I think I got what I was looking for. I isolated 2 ducks from one of the photos, cropped them out and inserted them onto a suitable background pic. Might make a good painting.
I will be at Gossamer Gallery in Wabamun on Saturday September 26 and also Sunday September 27. Weather permitting I will be adding another face to the musicians mural. The mural is progressing nicely and is definitely worth coming to see in person.
was in Canmore Friday intending to get some early morning light reference photos of the three sisters mountain peaks. I took the short hike to Policeman's Creek and discovered about 10-15 others with the same idea. They already had the area filled up with cameras, so I decided to go a little farther down the creek. I set up in a small open area surrounded by willows and managed to get about 20 shots as the sunlight progressed on the peaks. About 30 seconds after this photo I saw a round black ear about the size of a grapefruit with a yellow tag appear where the arrow shows. I didn't stick around to say hello to the owner of the ear. Discretion is the better part of valor.
I will be at the Arts Devon Market tomorrow, Sunday September 20th along with other creative locals from noon to 4pm. Stop by and see what is new.

I was at Gossamer Gallery in Wabamun today and the weather wasn't favorable to work outside on the musicians mural, so I worked on my painting of Manuels River Rapids. I will look at it again tomorrow, but think it's done.
