A old home down "Thiels Road" was donated to the Bruderheim and Lamont Fire Districts for the month of November. This is a rare opportunity for our fire departments to practice our skills and utilise an actual home instead of simulating one, something that can be difficult to replicate. We focused on valuable skills such as search and rescue, patient and firefighter rescue, firefighter emergencies, hose advancement and scene management. We used weighted hose, rescue "dummies", a smoke machine and made visibility as close to the real thing as possible. We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with Lamont Fire Department again and for the donation of this home for us to use. Photo credit Dobie Diaries

Bruderheim and Lamont Fire Districts will be working down "Thiel's Road" (49 Ave, and 45st). These are TRAINING evolutions only. This will be taking place every Tuesday and Thursday evening for the remainder of November, from 7Pm -9 PM. ... Please give the crews space to work by avoiding the area, unless you are a resident or doing business at Thiel's Greenhouses. Thank you.

This year's public vehicle extrication demonstration brought an amazing turnout even in cold weather conditions. The Lamont Fire Department and Bruderheim Fire Departments partnered together to demonstrate just how effective two months of training together have paid off.
