Meet Sloan - one of the many amazing kids that surfed their hearts our last week and submitted a video to the 2021 #bruhwilerkidsclassic video contest !! Check out all the submissions on the Facebook page - including expression sessions, competitive divisions and best wipeout reels! Competitive division winners will be announced on Facebook by on Saturday, October 2 and prizes will be available for pickup at Tofino Paddle Surf between 12-2pm on Sunday, Oct 3.

Here’s the sad post we really didn’t want to have to make. Due to the craziness that is 2020, we are officially cancelling the contest for this year. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe, and continues to grow their love for the ocean and surfing by getting outside and into the water as much as possible. *IMPORTANT CONTEST INFORMATION* We have had even more growth this year than previous years. As such, we have had to make some minor adjustments to make sure we can fit the contest into a reasonable amount of time (8 hours). 1. We have had to adjust the Girls 14 and Under division to 16 and Under, and removed the Girls 18 and Under division. ... 2. The Expression Session Heats are quite large (15 surfers as of this moment). However, we will keep these open and allow people to keep signing up because it is important to us that all surfers that want to participate get the chance. Thanks for your support in this event!

Stoked Surfrider Pacific Rim is going to be with us at the beach and awarding the Youth Environmental Award again! Thank you!! SEE INFO BELOW: _______________________________________________________________ For the third year in a row, Surfrider will hold the Best Youth Environmental Steward competition at the Bruhwiler Kid’s Surf Classic. The youth that win will go on a beach clean party at Cedar Coast Field Station on Vargas Island, which includes a boat ride, lunch, cupc...akes and swag bags! Two youth will be awarded along with a Surfrider wild card choice. Let the groms in your life know and get them out to the beach for all the fun! The location of the event will be posted on the Bruhwiler Kid's Surf Classic website the day prior to the contest or the morning of the contest. It is set to run from 9am to approximately 4pm.
