A question that often comes around when sharing my photos and adventure is about which gear I use, whether for the photo side of it or for the actual outdoor gear. Years after years we certainly gathered quite a lot of gear in our tiny apartment (my WFH office looks like a MEC store!) and while I'm not endorsed by any specific brands I certainly have my preferences. About a year ago Ashley and I were getting married in the middle of the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by family and friends from all around the world... Lots of things have changed since then. During the wedding, we screened an edit of our best adventure to our guests... I wanted to share it to celebrate our first anniversary! Everything was shot back in 2018 and prior... some great memories from a time when travel was granted to anybody. Here is the first part of it, enjoy!

Still way too many incidents in our local mountains this weekend! Anyone in Vancouver (or anywhere) who plans to head out this winter, please take a moment to go through all the wonderful resources from BC AdventureSmart! Whether you are just a novice snowshoer or an advanced backcountry skier, there is basic knowledge we should all be aware of the minute we leave the parking lot.

So happy to wake up this morning with snow covering the entire city, just in time for the long weekend! Not quite sure yet if I will get to enjoy it much but it sure feels great to see some white out there! Throwback to a night on Grouse Mountain Resort a few years ago, after a similar arctic storm... It was the first time I got to witness a Sun Dog! Make sure to look for it if we are lucky enough to get a clear sunset in the next few days! Have a great long weekend everyone and be safe out there!
