Friday, March 6th, the Community Education Network hosted its Social Enterprise kick-off event. Every seat was filled, and we had several chamber members present as well. A great kickoff for what will surely be a great project!

The 2020 Qalipu Business Forum was well-attended, featuring some great keynote speakers and panelists.

Today, the chamber hosted a General Meeting at the Days Inn. Presenter Jonathan Myers of Mad Lad Marketing Inc spoke about the importance of a good website, how to get one, and the pitfalls to avoid.

On Oct 21st, 2019, we hosted our annual Chamber Luncheon for Small Business week. This year, we invited guest speaker David Callahan, Owner/Operator of The Callahan Group of Companies and President of Back Home Medical Cannabis Corporation. After Mr. Callahan spoke to the attendees, the chamber announced this years recipient of the Leo Bruce Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence: AMGWES Safety Inc.

The digital industry in Atlantic ...Canada is evolving rapidly but its size and impact have been largely unknown until now. The APEC report was commissioned by TechImpact to better understand the scope and importance of digital technology firms in Atlantic Canada and set a benchmark for its future growth. The study identifies that digital technology firms in Atlantic Canada accounted for $6.1 billion in revenue in 2017, up from $5.2 billion in 2014.
