Here is few clip of the press technique that I teach from two of my guys. Geoff Tisdale who was the top press man cornerback in the cfl in his playing day and University of Waterloo Tyrell Ford who I considered the top cover corner in the Country and a kid I have the pleasure working with for a few more years as he is going into his jr year, so we have time to keep perfecting his craft. Here we are playing press man with our feet and really don't even have to touch the WR of...f the line. You have to have good footwork to play this technique. Patience, good eye work, staying square and forcing the WR to go around the DB wingspan is to force wide releases and the WR to reroute themselves. Once we realize the route is a go now we can take our eyes from the lower body and begin to focus on attention to detail. We can cut off and pin then become the WR and go make a play!!!
