CMC Braces - What’s the Difference? CarpoMetaCarpal braces stabilize the CMC joint and allow for movement at the wrist. They are sized to fit and are moldable to your hand. These braces are used to help with arthritis pain and wear and tear that can occur after many years. The left brace allows movement at the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint. Less material on the band may provide more breathability and comfort. The brace on the right also restricts MCP joint movement....
